Schedule and email
With KDE's Personal Information Manager (PIM), you can finally be organized, and for free! The Calendar allows you to schedule appointments, deadlines, vacations, and all other facets of your life. You can keep track of things you must get done with the To-Do List. You can keep names, addresses, phone numbers, and more in Contacts. The PIM contains well-thought-out workflows. For example, you can schedule an activity with a friend and then send an email reminder to your friend about the activity, all from within the PIM.

Paint
Krita is a program that allows you to paint and edit images. Even though Krita is designed to be easy to use, it has many powerful tools such as polygon, bezier curve, and perspective transform. Since it is a part of KOffice, many of Krita's capabilities are accessible from within other KOffice applications.
